I am constantly wishing he would stop growing up, but I don't really mean it. It is so much fun to watch him learn and develop new skills. Mostly, I love watching his personality and quirks blossom. He has plenty of both! Here's his new thing that I can't ever seem to quite capture fully on camera.
Blame his dad for the butter knife, and don't worry: no injuries occurred. |
I interrupt this series of silly pictures for storytime: Mr. Mitchell and I were enjoying a night in with a movie and a pan of brownies, but we were lazy and left the brownies out when we went to bed. When Sprout woke up in the morning Mr. Mitchell let Sprout out of the crib and set him free to do what he would. I discovered Sprout with the pan of brownies with his mouth so full he couldn't even close it all of the way, and both fists crammed full of brownies anxiously waiting to be eaten. The above pictures were taken after my mom asked if I had taken pictures, and I realized we hadn't. For the sake of memories he got a second go at the brownies.
Whenever I try to get a picture of him lately he squints his eyes, scrunches his little face, and tilts his head way back. He'll peek every once in awhile to see if the camera is still pointed at him. As you can tell, I have been getting better at timing the pictures to snatch one at the perfect time.
Last thing: Remember the first time you saw that adorable BYU *Go Cougs!* onesie? (If not, click here.) I had just finished my first trimester and he was so tiny I didn't even have a hint of a bump yet, but now he fills the stinkin' thing up. I get the feeling I'm going to be one of those moms that cries at every milestone. I miss where we've been, but I love where we're going.
P.S. When did he start to look so big in his crib? Aaahhhh!
Haha! I love that face he makes! What a cutie!!
